2019+ bumpers on 2016-2018

Has anyone on here explored the possibility of swapping the front/rear bumpers from a 2019+ model onto a 2016-2018 model? I really prefer the look of the new bumpers and it looks like the front fenders and hood on the redesign are the same as the 2016-2018 models.

You would also have to update the headlight assemblies as well as the fog lights. This would be a costly but good looking project. Does anyone have any estimates on the costs involved?

Since they also updated the infotainment (which control front/rear/side cameras), and other stuff - this would be a bear.
People did swap the lights (much to my chagrin), but bumpers are an all-different story.

Yeah I like the quad exhaust look and the new taillights better but I haven't really seen anything about swapping the rear bumpers.

I have seen on another Maxima fan site, people that have swapped the front bumpers and there's a gap between the new bumper and the old headlights. So you'd have to get new headlights too which are pretty costly.

Personally I think the old front end with the new backend would be the ultimate 8th gen stock style that that may just be me.

IMHO, my 2017 looks better, especially the front. The back is a toss up, but I still think the round tail pipes have an edge.

But both are better looking than that gawd awful Avalon front end

This is how I feel too. If anyone ever succeeds in swapping the rear fascia, please post. I like the headlights on the 9th gen, but the 8th gen headlights are pretty badass as well, and I would hate to have to change over to the 9th gen front fascia. The new fog light design doesn’t do it for me.

Didn't know Nissan had built the 9th generation.

The taillights are the only thing worth swapping imo. Preface lift taillights are too cheap looking and boring. I still love the preface lift front end better. The headlights have more character imo and are a better canvas for customing.
