All of a sudden, about one degree of freeplay in steering wheel

This just came, about a week ago. It seems like it is in the steering column, but could be in the rack. No noises associated with it. Just a degree or so of looseness in the steering wheel.
Has anyone else experienced this.
My 2014 has 54k miles on it. So, it seems too early for this kind of looseness to show up.

Take a look at your control arms and tie rod ends. The rubber grommets are probably cracked open (it has been 6 years in Jersey!)
