UpRev tune with CVT ?

Hello guys , kinda new to the whole CVT trans but I was wondering if I can get the

UpRev Tuner

UpRev Tuner includes: 1 Interface Cable, 1 UpRev Re-Flash license, ROM Editor, Stock ROM, and Back to Stock ROM. UpRev Tuning Suite is a Windows-based software; you will need a Windows-based laptop or a tablet that runs a full version of Windows for flashing the Base Tune and for data logging on the 7th gen not manual swapped

Don't contact AdminTuning. He'll turn you away if you have a CVT. Homeboi is trynna get you flagged. As of right now, HPTuners is seeming to be making a comeup, so look into those, but there's also a couple places in Houston if you're local, but you'll have to call and ask around. Good luck and keep us up to date

Unfortunately CVTs can't be tuned because they can't handle power and specially torque increase... that's why tuners don't want to work with the 7th or 8th gen maxima. If you do find one they will most like break your CVT.

That’s not tue. You can have an up rev tune installed in a CVT maxima. I have a 14 SV SPORT with a 5 map uprev tune and my car has the original CVT. I’ve had it for approximately 4 yrs without any problems. There are several of us running around with them. You just have to drive with common sense. I also have a tranny cooler, which helps. No issues and I spank stock maximas all the time

Just make sure it’s a tuner that knows what they’re doing. Nisformance did mine and I’m very happy with it. I could definitely feel the difference. They also did other work to the car so I’d make the tune the last mod. It’ll tie the other mods in place. I also have custom intake work; lightweight pulley; y-pipe, rs-r suspension components and stilled upgraded sway bar. I’m also riding on lightweight Rays anniversary wheels. The tune just tide it all together.

Did you need to mess with your cats to get the pops and flames or with the maps you were able to get that without gutting the cats ?

I dont think he has the pops and flames. I think you might be trying to ask me that question. And yes, you must run no catalytic converters in order to be able to "spit flames" or have pops. If you don't take them out, and you still get a flame map, all you're going to do is blow your engine, because then the exhaust gets returned into the engine through the exhaust valves, and then its just a time bomb at that point.

As for my uprev tune, map 1 is performance mode, map 2 eco mode, map 3 performance mode with no safeguards (never used), map 4 valet (car won’t go over 4000 rpms & 80 mph, map 5 security mode (car won’t start).

Mine was done by NisFormance. They have a website. They dyno tuned mine. I’m not that tech savy so that was never an option for me. Plus I had other mods done while the car was there. Google their website and call. They are very nice & knowledgeable
