8th gen maxima factory sub upgrade
8th gen factory sub upgrade??
I have a 2020 Nissan Maxima Platinum Reserve with the Bose Soundsystem and with the two subwoofers in the back that’s factory, has anyone done a factory upgrade or put aftermarket subwoofers in and all-around new speakers throughout the whole car??

I have a 19 sv non Bose system that I completely replaced professionally. The company that did the upgrade replaced all speakers with focal speakers, a focal 300 watt amp, and a new kenwood head unit. If done by yourself it will be a ton of work. The problem I ran into was with the oem head unit. After having all speakers replaced, I began having radio issues such as no sound coming through speakers which resulted in having to reboot radio daily. Went back to Nissan to complain about radio issues and they claimed that I voided warranty when I had speakers replaced and all wires upgraded. I fought this all the way to the corporate level and ultimately was denied by Nissan. Hence the reason I put a new kenwood unit in. In conclusion, the new system sounds amazing! Plenty of bass without subs. Hope this helps!
I have a ‘16 SL and replaced 8 of the 11 the speakers and added 2 subwoofers. The 3 inactive speakers Are the ones on tweeters and center Channel that are on the dash. I kept the headunit stock (From a ‘17 SL for CarPlay) to keep the factory look and not to potentially lose any of the factory features. audison bitnove sound processor hertz amp powering 2 sets of hertz millie components jl audio amp powering 2 jl w6s in a band pass box ported through the rear deck. Professionally done in Chula Vista CA @ Soundelux car audio.
