Loss of power at 110 MPH

So I have a 2014 Maxima. 88K miles. Second owner. Got at 33k. I take care of my car. Keep up with all the maintenance. I do drive her hard. Today I was going 110 for about 5-10 mins with out stopping and my buddy saw me on the road and got on my ***. So I punched it to take off.

Usually when I punch it the RPMs get tacked at 6.5 and she just goes till I let go. (I’ve done 130 before, a few times)

this time my car actually hit 7 rpms. And my car felt like it had a governor on it. I could not go as faster. I slowed down and sped back up to only be stopped at 110..

this has never happened before. Has anyone experienced this before? What should I do?

car wasn’t over heating, no lights were on. She runs great. Just couldn’t go fast.

Can't get passed 110? Something really broken in your car we all do 160. Part out immediately before it's too late

I don't understand why people push these cars to the limit then get surprised when it's not operating as it was, These cars have a CVT, and it's not a great CVT. They don't like to be ridden hard and beat on!
