I just drove my friends civic Si, and you know what?
It is faster than I thought.
There is not much below 5000, but the pull from 6000 to 8000 is sensational!!!!!!!!! power builds up very progressively, but I'd rather take the instant neck snapping power of the GTI 1.8t.

It pulled quite hard in that upper rpm range.
It felt "almost" as fast as my 2k 5-speed!

I think for under $20k, it is a bargain!

If I could get a SI for under 12 or even 13 I would get one in a second. But they are all over 16 and that damn electric blue, Im so sick of it.

They're coming out with vv-tech (or v-tech 2 or something), it will be sorta like what toyota has now; it will be better because it won't be on or off like v-tec is now, but rather always be on and adjust to various levels depending on speed, acceleration, and I'm sure some other variables I don't know.

I know this guy who turbo'd his SI and was running low 13's. That's fast. He took out the turbo's and is selling the car for a Civic Hatchback...
