Tranny fluid change

My 2012 Maxima has 82,000 miles I have not changed/ flushed my transmission or the transmission filter. Is there a certain milage that I should be changing/flushing the transmission fluid or just keep things the way it is until some kind of noticeable issue?

The CVT fluid should be changed at 60,000 miles. Do a drain and fill, not the flush. Use Nissan NS-2 fluid, about 4.5 qts. BTW keeping things the way it is will definately get you noticeable issues.

NS-3 CVT fluid now. Also, change your external filter as well - https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/th...er-c-p.324362/

If your vehicle calls for the use of NS-2, which I'm sure it does, then use NS-2. NS-3 is made for a newer generation of CVT.

I think NS-3 is backward compatible with NS-2.

Yeah, that is what in my 2007. It has been in there since NS-3 came out. My dealership doesn't even stock NS-2 anymore. To each his own, though.
