16",17",18",19",20" -Who Has A Full Size Spare?

I know many of us have aftermarket rims and tires Who has a 5th wheel and tire "ready" for when they have flat or are you going to deal with the donut until.......

I have
Rims-Silver 17x7" KONIG VERDICTS.

Tires-KUMHO ECSTA SUPRA 712(235/45ZR17)

and I'm thinking about buying another 1 rim and tire for a spare but I don't think it will fit in the trunk....

I've got a GXE steel wheel that I use a spare. Full size, works fine. Just won't look good, but who cares, its a spare.

If it gets you home after your tire blows out or something then thats all you need.

There you go. I did almost the exact same thing. Got a 3rd gen alloy rim and put some used 205 tire on it. Fits fine, AND when you use it, there's none of that mis-match feeling you get when you have a donut on one side and a regular tire on the other. The other plus is that if you're on a long road trip, this kind of spare can take you all the way home, un-like the donut.

Same thing, I like the ability to go over 50mph on my spare. If a tire blows on the highway I like knowing I can keep up with traffic on the way to my destination. I just took out that wood thing, it fits perfectly. The carpet lays almost flat.

I actcually kept the wood panel in there, just took all the foam off the back of it.

I have a full size spare!

Actually in Canada I think all Maxima's come with a full size spare tire. Depending on the model you buy, whatever size/rim combination you get on the car, you get the same thing in the trunk. I have 16" SE rims and 215/55 Goodyear RSA's on my '99 and have the same thing for the spare. Similarily, if you bought a GXE, you would get 15" tires with steel rims.

But on my friends '01 Anniversary Edition (Canadian) he has a donut for a spare. Kinda strange
