I noticed a dark puddle of fluid under my car yesterday and today did some investigation. It appears the leak is coming from the round cylindrical thing (shown in the center of the pic). I searched Google and looked at some online schematics and cannot find a name for this part.
Does anyone know what it's call and what its purpose is? I notice a small trickle of what appears to be oil (or some other dark fluid) underneath it when the car is running but it goes away as soon as the car is shut off.
