Mudflaps?

They are paving and widening the road outside my neighborhood and I am concerned my silver max is going to get a ton of tar and gravel marks all over it. Anyone have some nice upgrades?
Ceramic wax? Mothers CMX or Chemical guys are both pretty good.

Typically, as long as you don't drive on the fresh asphalt within 15 minutes of it being paved and rolled, you have nothing to worry about. Contractor sets up cones/traffic control to keep cars off a fresh asphalt for usually 30 minutes to an hour. As long as you are not one of those a-holes that drive through or around cones and do as you wish, you'll be fine. LOL Be sure to drive slow too and respect the work zone. Keep a good distance from the car in front of you and you won't get hit with any rocks that get flung up. Take a different route, if possible, until the paving is done and a few days have passed by.

If any issues do arrive, contact the City you live in and file a claim. The City will take care of you, and the Contractor's insurance will pick up the tab.

I think Ill hedge my bets and use some ceramic on the paint to help mitigate any tar and construction debris off the paint.
Got some chemical guys wash and wax. I hope it works.

Chemical guys ceramic Hydroslick is on. I had a few spots of gravel dust turn to concrete already. I may have to get a plastic putty knife and persuade it to go.

Wait ... What?

Am I detecting an advocation for rules compliance and perhaps even standards of behavior?

How dare you.

Turtle wax has a great line of ceramic products. I've heard good things about their graphene products too. Easy one you can use is their wash and wax, then wet wax as a drying aid. Hardcore way is a full paint correction and apply their ceramic spray coating.

The coating will help prevent the tar from sticking. To get it off (before the coating) a claybar should do the trick.
