Angry popping noise will drive you nuts

yeah that little speaker thats right above your head makes a popping noise every 20 or 30 seconds and its getting very annoying
anyone know how to fix this other than the 45 caliber i feel like putting in it?

You did not say what year or model, but if you are referring to what I think you are, that is not a speaker, but part of the Noise Cancellation system. Hope others have input on how to fix it, but from what I know it is not a user adjustable system. Any chance your Maxima is still under warranty.

2016 maxima,no warranty
it is the noise cancellation but i thought it was a speaker or microphone but that mother pops 2-3 times a minute

If it were mine, I would get to the back side of it and cut one of the leads. Problem solved.
