Just wanted to put this out there for anyone with a 7th gen maxima. I bought this unit from nifty city for around $700. Kind of expensive, but adds seamless, legit apple carplay. It still retains all functions, but when you hold the “back” button on the steering wheel or the radio controls, it switches to apple carplay.

Did the compamy get you a new head unit so that your keyfob would work from normal distance again?

 

Believe it or not, that problem fixed itself. I was in contact with the company which has excellent customer service, however over a week or so the problem just stopped. I’m assuming that the maxima was able to tell the power was low, and increased it possibly? Not entirely sure, but i’m not worrying about it now.

 

Pretty awesome! I want one! 750 + shipping is a lot though.
Was it hard to install? I'm good with computers but I am a newbie when it comes to car audio.

 

It was actually crazy easy. Took me under an hour. Everything is plug and play, so no actually wiring needs to be done. It’s a matter of putting in a few three way wiring harnesses that the company provides. If you use code “MISSYMAXIMA” you will get $75 off
