Stereo install question 7th gen maxima

I have 2013 maxima s base package. It was a rental car so theres no upgraded options on it. It has the normal maxima radio with the purple trim on it no bose or nav at all. I want to put in an aftermarket headunit. Ive seen people on this forum with this generation maxima that have done it what i want to know is.... What radio harness did you use? And did it give you any problems of remove any functions? If you have a link to where you bought it plase add it on it would help alot.

Side note ive done alot of radio installs and in my experience newer cars have certain functions incorperated into the actual stock radio requiring the use of a "data-link" which is kind of a supplemental brain. All i have seen are simple plug and play harnesses and im concerned i would run in to the issue of factory alarm no longer working lights not working properly and any other inerior issues i could get by swapping out the stereo.

It is fairly straightforward just get a kit with steering wheel control adapter.

Got this 300 dollar headunit installed at best buy for around 600 bucks. Many harness and adapters required for steering wheel and bose functionality (2012 SV, non premium). Good Kenwood 6.2" touch screen bluetooth, usb input, backup capability, and the equalizer allows you to set the parameters perfect to get crisp highs and mids and very booming bass (25-50% better than stock before speakers sound stresses), the bose system is actually very good but hindered by the stock HU and limited options imo. Labor was only about 150 and took around 2 hours to do. Very worthy upgrade imho, sorry, forgot part number on HU but its very good (not a spokesperson for Best buy or Kenwood or anything, lol), probably gonna go back and have a backup added for 200 parts and labor soon as some more money comes in, first CVT fluid change and maybe this or CAI next. Pic below of new radio (only gripe is you lose clock function on top, but AC controls and display are unaffected).

Do you know which radio harness was used? I plan on doing it myself. So i need a little more technical info. I bought the metra 70-7552 adapter. It fits the harness but it hass the ground wire in the #20 spot and on the stock connector the #20 slot is empty. Im starting to think i may have to hard wire it. Also did you lose any functions besides the factory bluetooth? Alarm or lights? Also the factory intelligent key alarm has no shock sensor so im planning on getting on of those factory alarm upgrade units installed.

Sorry I dont know off the top of my head which ones they used. If I can dig up the receipt ill let you know. Nothing changed as far as alarms or any lights, just the clock and radio info no longer displays on top screen.
