These ports are AUX input/USB ports for data and not for charging. I use a charger plugged into the outlet in the console and run the cable out on the passanger side for my wife to use (when we travel she is on the phone a lot).
The two USBs in the cubby below the center stack function as:
USB 1- Car Play with the appropriate cable, also charges my phone
USB 2- charging - I have a mini USB cable plugged in here for other devices
Auxiliary input- additional port
The '20 SR has two additional USBs at the rear of the center console for charging as well. I have a fire wire cable and a second mini USB in these ports. What year is your car?
Its 2017 SL. In my CarPlay charges too. Otherwise my phone would’ve been dead a lot
