5 speed transmissions for sale: Quaife and VLSD

Both transmissions have been sold.

I converted my car from a 5 speed to a 6 speed, so I no longer need my old 5 speed transmissions. One has the super rare Quaife LSD, and the other is a factory rebuilt VLSD. As much as I hate to part with them, I just don't see myself ever needing them again. The first 5 speed is a reman VLSD unit from Nissan. I bought it from a good friend when he wrecked his Maxima in 2011. He had broken 3rd gear in it, so I bought a new one from Nissan. I sent the transmission to Team RIP Engineering in Michigan where they detailed, shot peened, and cryo treated the gears. It was reassembled with new bearings even though it only had 10k miles on it. If I had to guess, I've put something like 10k miles on it since then. It makes absolutely no noises and shifts beautifully, and doesn't leak. I only ran Amsoil in it and changed it frequently. Price is $700. Considering that I spent well over $1,000 just on the rebuild, this is a fair price for a low mileage semi-built transmission.

The second 5 speed has a Quaife LSD in it. The Quaife is an HLSD, so it will never wear out like the VLSD can. It also locks more than the VLSD and puts power down better. When new, the Quaife LSD sold for something like $1,500. If I had to guess, fewer than 20 were ever sold due to their price. Good luck finding another one these days. The transmission I bought that came with the Quaife died a few months after I bought it when somehow reverse gear crapped out. I located a used trans from a junkyard, and had Dgeesaman (Maxima transmission expert, old org member) install it. When he installed it he also installed new OEM bearings and seals as a precautionary measure. This was done in 2013. Since then, this has been the transmission in my car, while the VLSD has been saved as a spare. Not long after I installed the trans I moved and my commute got a lot shorter, and I had two other cars, so I haven't put many miles on my car in the last 7 years. If I had to guess, there are less than 10k miles on this trans since it was rebuilt. Again, absolutely no noises or problems shifting, no leaks. Always ran Amsoil in it and changed it frequently. Price is $1,000.

These are not your run of the mill junkyard transmissions. Each has been thoroughly gone over and tested, and you will get many years of trouble-free use from either.

I will ship at the buyer's expense. Plan on it costing around $150.

I also have almost everything needed to do an auto to manual conversion available if someone wants to go that route. I think the only things missing would be the clutch pedal and clutch master cylinder. I have:

-Shifter (from a 97, and shortened 1")
-A different aftermarket STS (can't remember the brand)
-Poly shifter bushing (super rare)
-Shifter rods to transmission
-Poly DS trans mount
-Slave cylinder
-Axles (both for Quaife and VLSD)
-PS axle support bracket
-Starter
-OEM Nissan 5th gen clutch/PP (holds more power than 4th gen clutch/PP) and OEM flywheel with less than 20k on them (about $1,000 new). Everything is in excellent condition, flywheel does not need to be resurfaced. I marked their relative locations before removing, so just line them back up when reinstalling and everything will be properly balanced.

Price is $500, buyer pays shipping. Unless I don't get any interest in the parts above as a kit, I don't plan on separating them, so please don't ask for individual parts.
