High idle when parked and car is start
I have a 2018 Nissan Maxima SV, that I bought 6 months ago USED at 35k miles. Right now I have about 36K miles.
Today, when I was parking my car and put it in park, before I turned it off, I noticed the RPM was higher than normal and it felt like I was pressing the gas, but I wasnt,
What could this problem be? I took it to a mechanic next door to me, but I want to hear from you guys, so I also know what it may be. Thanks5t

The throttle is not connected directly to the throttle plate in this vehicle, and many others. It transmits a signal to the computer which processes (interprets) the signal and sends it to a receiver/motor in the throttle body. I'm betting that there is an out of sync condition here, but I have no idea how to discover the exact problem without a high-end code-scanning tool.
Could also be a vacuum leak causing a lean fuel/air mixture which the car is trying to compensate by giving more gas. Or maybe your floor mat is pressing the gas pedal. I've seen this numerous times where the floor mat was resting on the gas pedal. Could be several items that can cause this. Possibly the owner before you could have had some modifications on the engine and then took them off and put the original back on. Possible relearn the throttle positions.
Could also be a dirty induction horn butterfly valve that is near / after the air filter box. There is a specific cleaner in aerosol cans you can try but be careful and follow the instructions to the letter. I'd also try a Techron base fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank a few times too. The best thing is to pay the dealer/mechanic for a diagnostic evaluation.
