Power steering hose replacement issue on a 2007 Nissan maxima
Hi folks, I recently replaced the power steering hose in my 2007 Nissan Maxima because power steering fluid was leaking all over the driveway. When I pulled the OEM hose I removed the brackets and started to install them on my new power steering hose which is a Edelmann 80453. Problem is, it doesn't fit like the OEM power steering hose. I can't install the brackets that holds the power steering hose in place. There is only one way I could route the power steering connector to the rack and pinion, but the hose alignment after screwing in the connector makes it hard to install those brackets. Will it be safe to just bypass these brackets, or are they going to need to be used? Thanks in advance!

It's likely just brackets to secure the line from getting pinched or rubbing, if it's flopping around it can potentially rub through and leak. Does it still feel sturdy and it's not rubbing against anywhere/no chance of it getting pinched? If it I wouldn't overly worry about it, just check it every few months
