Not sure what's going on, but sometime over the past few days the skip/go back/fast forward/rewind control switch on the steering wheel button doesn't fast forward or rewind music through Spotify (bluetooth or Apple CarPlay).

The functionality still works by skipping ahead/going back 10 second when I'm listening to podcasts through the Apple Podcast app and it will advance to the next song or go back to the beginning of the song when listening through Spotify, but the actual fast forwarding or rewinding stopped working. I've tried force closing Spotify and disconnecting and reconnecting bluetooth, but it hasn't fixed it.

Anyone else experience this yet or know what's going on or how to fix? It's driving me crazy.

I have a 2016 platinum. I did not know the stearing wheel controls could do that. Is that just for a the 2017 models?

 

Not sure, this is my first Maxima. I bought it used a few years ago and was always able to fast-forward and rewind both podcasts and music from the first day I had it. No clue why the music control stopped recently.
