Paint/clear coat wear on the a pillar
That's a painting prep flaw. I had that happen on a brand new Explorer I bought yrs ago.
The clear coat is separating from the paint and will start to peel off, the paint will go next.
The dealership had to strip and re-paint the roof and drip rails on my Explorer.
Although, I doubt that your situation is covered under warranty, you should still check with them anyway since that's not something you did by driving or some other act on your part.

I have this happening to all 4 of my pillars. Its maddening. I haven't discussed with my dealership yet but am thinking about it. I have a 2017 SL with 38k. You would think its an easy replacement but who knows. Let me know what your dealership says. Or maybe it something that's escalated to Nissan Corporate? Good Luck!
My problem is much worse. I did buy a 2 stage clear coat in a can, but i haven't done it yet. Basically you need to remove the rest of that clear coat (leave the paint alone) by wet sanding (see you tube) and apply the clear coat. I will be doing this and if it turns out bad, i will wrap it using 3m gloss black. I used this wrap a few chrome pieces and it matches my black paint really well. In my case, almost all the clear coat has flaked off so it will be an easy fix. In your case, it looks like you still have most of your clear coat and that will take time to remove. Just don't scratch the paint...
