Low coolant light not a thing on 8th Gen maximas??

So my coolant been low for a while now I finally got around to putting some in. I filled it in til the min line little by little because I know how tricky coolant levels can be. The next day I checked it and it was low again I refilled it back to the min level. So I absolutely was low on coolant but how low is the question?

Is there not a sensor that warns you of low coolant??? My Volvo would warn me. I’m confused because now I’m starting to realize how much Nissan cuts corners with these cars. You think knowing if your low on coolant would be a priority.

Someone throw their 2 cents in. I noticed the participantion in this forum is at an all time low. A lot people are not getting their questions answer which is pretty sad.

If you guys are bored and want some more maxima stuff I been vlogging about my maxima here on my YouTube.

Sorry, Nissan does not use a coolant level sensor.

Many of us are still here with our Maximas but many have moved on as the Maxima fades from production. My 2019 bought new has 46000 miles on it and short of an occasional rattle soldiers on getting 30 plus mpg as cruise and still looking good. Not much more to write about that hasn't already been said. As these cars become more affordable, I am sure the newest owners will has something to say about mods etc. Good luck.

As convenient as fluid sensors are, periodic checking of fluids and filters "the good old fashioned way" is really best. I had a bad experience many years ago with another brand car - only signal of cooling problem was when the temp gauge suddenly soared and the radiator blew out so quickly that even getting to the side of the road was difficult - twice because of a bad sensor!

As far as participation... I'm stilll here but spend more time driving my Maxima that typing on forums.
