Sticky Brakes Sometimes

Hi everyone and thank you for all your future answers. My problem started with an antifreeze leak from the radiator on the passenger side. After I replaced my radiator my brakes started sticking when I came to a stop. I can feel it in my pedal by even barely pressing down. Sometimes it won't stick but most of the time it does. When I'm coming to a stop and applying the brakes the vehicle slows down and then the brakes lock as if you slammed on the brake. The pedal returns to a normal position. I replaced the pads, and calipers, bled the brakes three times, and just replaced the master cylinder and the problem still occurs. There are no codes for the ABS Actuator and I'm at a dead end besides the brake booster has a strong vacuum. The dealership checked my front hoses which are fine as they say.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You would be able to tell which one is locking up by feeling the rims and seeing which is the hottest one….replace that brake hose….that most likely your best bet imo

Never thought about that, thank you. Both rims are about the same but the front right caliper seems hotter than the drivers side. Thank you.

Replaced the two front hoses and still dealing with sticky brakes. It was good for a few miles but the problem came back. When I disconnected the booster it didn’t have the issue just hard to stop. But came back when I reconnected it. Booster has vacuum and no stored or active codes. Changing the brake booster.

Please let us know if replacing the booster resolves the issue. This is interesting, it seems like the booster is the culprit.

Sorry, I thought that I posted the fix. Yes, the booster solved the problem. Even brake better. The booster cost $128 with core exchange.

I didn’t feel like doing it, so I took to a family owned shop. Took them 6 hours and only charged $250 for labor. Bleed the brakes twice, all good.
