sudden hyperflashing after repairs done

I had an accident where someone hit the rear driver side bumper / tail-light. They had to replace the bumper, driver side tail light, etc.

My rear turn signals and reverse bulb are diode dynamics LED bulbs. Never had any issues. My front turn signals are diode dynamics switchback halos.

When they replaced the damaged taillight, I brought over the diode dynamics LED bulbs (which I’d removed from the damaged tail light), and they put it into the new replacement tail light.
But when I got the car back now, the turn signal for the opposite side (passenger side) is now hyper flashing. Any idea what is going on? As far as I know, the diode dynamics bulbs never required resistors. They were plug and play.

Could replacing the damaged driver side taillight unit somehow cause hyper flashing on the passenger side turn signal? I’m just confused why it’s suddenly hyper flashing, especially when they didn’t even work on the passenger side tail light (only the driver side one needed to be replaced since it was damaged in the accident).

Or did my setup have resistors and one of the ones on the passenger side just happened to go bad?

We don't know but the answer is very simple. Deductive reasoning will steer us in the direction of just swapping LEDs from one side to the other and see if the problem follows. If hyper flashing follows, then chances are that the LED/resistor failed.

You will get the hyper flashing when one of bulbs are not working. Check all four corners and confirm that all of the bulbs are working! And good luck.
