Front Passenger Signal Light Won't WORK!
Front Passenger Signal Light Won't WORK!
Ok problem. All of a sudden my signal for the front passenger side doens't work. The rear signal works but it blinks REALLY fast on that side. I changed the bulb with 3 different bulbs and even switched a good one from the Driver side to the Passenger side and it still doesn't work. I don't think it's a fuse since the rear is workin' and the Drivers side blinker is workin'. Not sure if the actual piece the bulb connects to is not working/broken or something else. Can anyone help me out!
Thanx!

Check it out with a voltmeter. Turn on the hazard lights and measure the DC flow at the bulb socket. This can be done by touching the positive voltmeter probe to one (there may be two) "nub" located inside the socket (this nub touches the bottom contact on the bulb itself) and the black probe to the side of the bulb socket. With the hazards flashing, you should get a reading of 12+Volts with every flash. Judging from your description, I am inclined to say that it is not a fuse problem, it is a wiring problem. Check any connections where the wire may have been spliced or bared by rubbing.
I believe as already mentioned, the blinkers are wired up to detect a blown bulb (i.e. blinks faster on the side with the blown bulb). If replacing the bulbs has no effect, it seems to indicate that the circuit still looks open (even with the new bulb in place)... so possibly one of the harness wires to that light/on that circuit has broken? - do that voltmeter test as suggested - and no, I don't think Autozone will do it for free.
Could also be a broken wire/bad connection at the socket itself...

where can i get a new wire and/or socket... cuz i got a feeling it's that.... i haven't checked it with the voltmeter cuz i don't have one.. but hopefully someone i know will have one.. thanx...
