New to nissan maxima

HI I'm looking at getting my first car and currently looking at the maxima. I want to know from owners how would you rank these cars over all? Can most of the maintenance be done myself, do they make good point A to B cars, are they pretty cheap to insure and reliable?
I know a million factors affect each one but I don't know anything about these cars so I just want a general idea of how these cars hold up. Thanks.

they are on the higher end of choices on list ranking cars for being a simple mode of transportation point A to B, there can be cheaper cars to get around in.

make a list of your priorities and then decide what kind of vehicle suits your needs.

most of the time it will come down to budget, then how important the joy of driving is to you vs just getting from point a to b

i would say these cars are generally DIY friendly,

they are a good first car if they fit your budget
