Which car is a better buy?
I have been wanting a Code Red Altima SE-R for awhile. These are very similar to a 6th Gen Maxima. I found TWO:
Both are Southern rust-free cars with NO previous body damage:
Car 1: Completely original with 110K miles @ $2900 . They are selling because of a misfire in the engine. It could be coils, injectors or something else.
Car 2: It has a DIY installed low mileage 8th Gen Maxima engine, new clutch, new rotors. It runs and drives good. It has an ABS light that stays on and the speedometer doesn't work @ $4900

Have you seen them in person?
Car 1, I wonder the condition of the catalytic converter(s), possibly damaged from the misfire. Surely the CEL is on, what are the fault codes.
Car 2, I don't trust other peoples work. I'd have to look that over in person. Seller needs to show what parts were used. The seller should do ABS self diagnostic outlined in the FSM.
Either car could be a can of worms without knowing more.
