7th Generation 2010 Nissan Maxima will not accelerate

Hey everyone I’m new and a beginner here! Any help would be appreciated!

2010 Nissan Maxima s 164k automatic
7th generation

Recently purchased!

Family member changes oil top off fluids, replaced all spark plugs, coils and sensors! Alternator seems to be ok and previous owner may have replace it within a couple years I’m not sure! Battery is newer and charged.

Took it for a spin and drove great for couples miles! Next day it drove approximately 15 miles and then the dash lights dimmed and WOULD NOT ACCELERATE HOWEVER MOTOR STAYS RUNNING!

Check engine light is NOT ON! Just tire pressure which has been on for a few weeks!

It was towed back home! Any reasons what could be the issue!!

Sound like you need a new battery. Even though your "Battery is newer and charged", it might not be putting out the correct amount of power. These cars are subject to all sorts of gremlins if the battery power is slightly off. Get the alternator load tested after you purchase a new battery. New batteries off the shelf are rarely fully charged so make sure you charge it up before installing it.

Yup, I'll bet it's a failed alternator that no longer charges the battery. Happened to me twice. 1st time, I replaced the alternator with Nissan Rebuilt, half the cost, same warranty. Only lasted 22,000km. 2nd time I replaced it with OEM new. No problems since.
