Information on supercharging my maxima?

Where are the kits? How much? Performance estimate? Any info appreciated. I have a 97 Maxima 4-speed auto.

Re: Information on supercharging my maxima?

Um, how can you have a 5 spd. auto? It's a 5 spd. manual and 4 spd. auto. The only kit made for the car is by Stillen, expect around 65 hp on the stock pulley. I have the kit, and it's nice. I would suggest you do a search to find out all the rest.

Thanks, I edited the previous post. Hey anyone know if I would be able to beat a stock 2001 GTI? My maxima has no mods yet just coming out of a big car accident that costed me pretty bad.

You're coming off an accident and you're going to start off with a supercharger?

Whoa ... slow down fella.

A supercharger is approx $3000 ... so unless you're rich and have money to burn, you might want to start off with something simple like an intake and y-pipe.

Or even suspension. For $200 you can get a FSTB and a RSB and improve your handling dramtically.

Do you have a website or information, on the suspension? Went into a big rear spin when it was snowing down here Anyway, I thought a supercharger was like $600 ? Thanks in advance. By the way, will the y-pipe affect my inspection with the dmv (pollution) etc..?

Uhhh...
http://www.custommaxima.com
http://www.cattman.com
http://www.procarparts.com
http://www.stillen.com

and a whole bunch others that I can't think of right now.

The y-pipe won't affect your inspection as long as you warm up the car before.

Also do a search: http://forums.maxima.org/search.php for anything you think you would be interested in. These subjects have been brought up many times before.

Supercharger yes best mod ever!!!!!!!!!

$600 , you mean just the blower and that costs around $800.00 plus alone, just good luck stillen is not nice I doubt he sell you that kit, just get it from another .org member Jane97SE might be selling hers, it dont hurt to PM or email her ask or ask Y2Kev. I just spent over $3500 on my, and is it worth it yes it is worth every penny of it, the part that will hurt you will be installation that is not cheap either, thats why myself and Potatoehead did our own labor.

Ouch I'm studying computer engineering and really have no time to work on my car, I was hoping my mechanic would do it. What are your estimates on the labor costs? I'm kind of in debt right now so I'm figure I'd go in debt even more.
