Who has upgraded resonator but kept stock mufflers?

Hey all,

Brand new here -- just bought a used 2018 Maxima and want to tweak the exhaust slightly.

Seen many videos online of muffler deletes, res deletes, or vibrant + resonator deletes, but havent seen any of owners that have just upgraded from the massive stock resonator to something like a vibrant.

I've owned v8s and have always used CARVEN for my exhausts, and thinking their TR series could be a good swap for the stock resonator, keeping the stock mufflers.

So, anyone know of any 8th gen owners that have just upgraded the resonator only?

Thanks!

What are you hoping will happen if/when you 'upgrade' your resonator?

Well, I’m looking to hear the exhaust just a little more. Stillen axel back sounds good, but was thinking I could achieve something similar by replacing that big resonator with something smaller. The Carven TR could work well with its design and glass packing.

Removing the resonator and the rasp that would be associated with it isnt what I’m game for, and thinking this may be an option to consider that could get the results I’m looking for.

Just wasnt sure if anyone went a route like this with vibrant as everything I see is delete all or one
