Wreck - Replacing front bumper, turn signals, foglights & cornering lamps, upgrades??

I had a girl make a left hand turn directly in front of me yesterday, I was able to slow it down from 35-40 to maybe 6-7 mph. It still put some very deep scratches in my bumper, knocked it slightly out of alignment (the bumper sticks out 1/2 an inch further on the passenger side), also shattered the drivers side foglight housing, turn signal light housing, and cornering lamp housing. I suppose they are going to have to replace entire front bumper piece as well as all those light housings. Are there any parts that I could tell them to use instead that don't really cost any more but might give my maxima a nicer/more custom look?

Thanks!

Would a skyline bumper fit in the first place- and how much more would it cost over the OEM price of the 95 maxima bumper?

Also does anybody know it insurance companies are OK with you adding a little extra money to your bodyshop tab in order to get different parts installed on your car than the OEM ones they were going to put on there?

I think insurance pays for the cost of OEM, period. But I'm in the same boat as you. Backed into steel post fence, don't know if bumper's ok, but my alteeza's on the passenger side are gone as well as the rear pushed in about an inch and a half, i'm just glad it didn't hit my trunk lid. Also, if it's brand new vs. reconditioned OEM, i think they go for reconditioned. Insurance companies don't become big by buying everybody showroom floor stuff : ( They'll pay for that kind of thing, and if you want to improve, I think you will need to make up the difference.
