I'm a little baffled here because the dipstick is very confusing. Near the bottom there are two notches about a half an inch apart. By conventional automotive standards that lower notch is absolute minimum and the top is full at operating temperature. But about another half an inch above the top notch there is a crosshatched area about 1 cm from top to bottom so that makes me think the fluid need to be within that area. But then again above the S shaped area of the dipstick is the word "HOT" so now I am just completely confused.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

OK, this one is solved. I called Nissan dealer and the service rep told me it was the crosshatched area.
