FS: 3rd gen mounting rings for 6.5" speakers

This pertains to 3rd gens only, so I posted it in here, if that was a mistake, can somebody move this to the FS forum?

I'm selling wood mounting brackets for 6.5" speakers (or any other size). They will bolt directly in place of the stock bose pod usuing the stock screws (all four).

$35 for two. I'm not sure if the SE and GXEs and the years in between have different mounting positions for the pods...does naybody know? I've got a 92 GXE, and it fits right on.

I can post some pictures up toamrrow hopefully. If you want, I can paint these for an extra $5.

Let me know if you think the price is too high/low.

Yeah.....I need some too and I'm too busy/lazy right now to screw around making my own. If they'll fit with the 92 Bose stuff then I'll go for it. Could you post some pics? Also, I assume these will fit under the stock grilles, right? Gracias

yup, these fit under the stock grilles, i need to modify the design, right now you need to break off one of the tabs that hold the door in place, not a big deal, but it's still something you have to do. i will get some pics up soon, i need to put some black lights in my doors anyhow, so once I take off the door, I will get some pics.

doesn't seem very clear if you mean the front or rear speakers. i assume you mean the front from y ou last post, but just wanted you to clear that up for your sake.

You may need to address the speaker depth issues before selling these. I had to build about 4 pairs before finding the right depth, clearance, and location so that i wouldnt have to do any extra work. A'la breaking off tabs, screwing side of door panel on, etc. I you want i can give you some specs so you wont have the problems. You may also want to look into cutting for 6 3/4" also since it is also a popular size....as well as the 4x6 ( the 6x9 will fit too) Later bro, Charles

Hmmmm. I was just about to do some myself for my Rockford 6.5 FNX's. Are these things fully enclosed? Material (did I not read that)? Is it angled? What about those pics? (did I miss that as well)

Reading Is Fundamental???
