CAI Still rattling at WOT

I've done search after search and even posted a thread a few days ago about the loud rattling I get from my CAI at WOT. I got some good rubber and cut it into pieces so that no part of the CAI is touching anything but rubber. The noise decreased a lot and sometimes isn't there, but when it's there it is a rattling/vibrating sound. Doesn't really sound like metal on metal though.
QUESTION: Is it possible that since the air filter inside the fender wall is pressed up against the wheel well that it is causing the wheel well liner to vibrate and therefore cause the noise? It definitely sounds like it could be that material vibrating, but it got quiter after putting the rubber in, so I dont know for sure where its coming from.
Has anyone had this problem? I'm not sure exactly how to go about solving it. Maybe try and fasten the wheel well liner better to the car? Please make some suggestions. Thanks!!

the cai will/should rattle a little........but it seems that your problem may be a bit more than "a little" - how big a hole did u but anyways?

I cut a 3.5 inch hole. Should have cut a 3.25 inch hole instead I know, but can't change it now. I'm going to continue trying the rubber method. I'll completely fill in any spaces in the hole around the pipe so it cant rattle there, then I'll test it and see if that worked, then try somewhere else, etc. Love the CAI but getting annoyed with the little noise.

Is anyone else's filter snug up againt the wheel well liner on the inside of the fender wall? Mine is, and I know I did the install perfect, went extremely slow and made sure I followed maximadriver.com's directions to a T.
I'm wondering if this could be my problem, doubt it though.
