Need help ASAP/Removing Chrome trim around wheel wells of 96SE

I was looking at a 96 SE which this guy is giving away for 60% of its average condition book value. The only real problem for me is the very ugly aftermarket chrome trim around the wheel wells, its pretty wide, almost the width of a bicycle tire. I was wondering how the stuff is installed and when it is removed, can it be done without a trace( Maybe via detailing shop). Any opinions welcome.

Details: Pearl White 96 SE Auto, Tan Power Heated Leather, BOSE, Moonroof, Digital Climate Control, ABS, Spoiler, 69K miles, clean body and bumpers. The 15' stock rims+ the chrome garbage, plus the huge wheel gap make it quite unattractive so thats why I'm so concerned as to whether or not I can remove it successfully.

i thought the SE came stock with 16s

and sorry, i don't really know about removing the chrome, but 60% of average book value, sounds like a good deal

I imagine that it's held on similar to a pinstripe. You could probably heat it up and take it right off. Then wash and wax the area good and it should look like it was never there. Double check if this will work before attempting to do it.

Unfortunately, the 95-96 SE still came with the 15 inch rims, the upgrade was for 97+ but I could easily find those somewhere.

Nick, thats also what I thought but I figure its too good to be true so I wanted to know if someone maybe had a horror story to share.

Of, as for the price, pretty sure I might be able to pull off $6000.
