CAR BROKE DOWN!.... Pleas advise!

my maxima broke down last night... these are the events that preceded before the engine stopped: radio turned on and off, ABS light turned on, Airbag light turned on, car started to go into convoltions (this is an automatic by the way, and it felt like it was doing a half-*** stall), then BOOM... engin stopped... CAN ANYONE TELL ME WTF IS WRONG? i'm guessing it's either the alternater or regulator... PLEASE ADVISE!!! THANKS

Electrical... dead battery due to failed alternator (no warning light prior to event?)

Check your battery... if it's not that... may be some major electrical problem...

really?? this is all too familiar.....SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO MY FRIEND ON SUNDAY. 1st thing to check, like the previous poster said was your battery, make sure it has enough juice in it, make sure you got a good connection going from your battery posts to the wire....if you see nothing wrong with the electrical...check the ?front oil seal? I believe that was what was wrong with my friends vehicle.... I'll try to find out exactly what it was and post what he says for more vivid description.

judging by my first maxima meet, (where my battery died) it sounds like battery... my car did a few F-ed up things before it was dead completely. stalled out at idle too. hopefully thats all it is, mine old battery wouldnt even take a charge.
