Am I anal or what?
Am I **** or what?
Ok, so I'm standing around last night after doing my throttle body cleaning, pondering whether I want to figure out how to turn off that silly "service engine soon" light that I just turned on, the hood's open and I notice this slimy dirt coating the underside of the hood. You know that grungy greasy crud that gets sucked under there. Road dirt, salt, dust, small animals, whatever.
So, I start poking at it and I realize there's some shine under all that gook. Well, I'm not one to pass up a challenge so I grab a rag, some degreaser and set to work. Two beers, a cruddy rag and some rubbing compound later, I have a nice shine going on the underside of the hood. A little glaze, some carnuba and a bit of buffing and I can see myself. Man, will my mechanic be impressed
Tomorrow night: The underside of the trunk lid and Armor All for the spare tire! Woohoo! I love this car.

I only use Meguiar's Number 40 Professional Vinyl and Rubber Treatment on my tires or the interior plastic panels, weatherstripping, hoses, etc.
Number 40 is the greatest!
