HLSD 6sp down 1/3 litre oil in 1300 miles
Exactly a month and about 1300 miles or 2100 km have gone by. My Max is just past break in. I was down about 330 ml in oil.
I'm wondering if you guys feel this is normal or excessive.
TIA

low oil
This would be quite a lot but how can you be so sure about the original fill level? I wouldn't count on Nissan to have put in the exact amount of oil specified in the service manual. My suggestion is to change the oil again in 1k miles so you'll know for certain.
Rep that is true

I agree, change oil now and see if it happens again. Does the 2k2 manual say that it's normal for some oil to be consumed during break in and some extreme driving? I think the 2k1 manual said this. Anyway, just watch it and hope it wasnt filled right.

Thanks for the answers guys.
3 cars ago, I was delivered an Acura Integra GSR. They gave it to me with only 1 litre of oil in it. (this car takes five!). In the first two weeks I had it, the enigne light kept coming on and they couldn't figure out what was up. They kept resetting the ecu etc. but they never clued in to check the oil.
Ever since that, it is the first thing I check when I get a new car. PDI is such BS!!! Refuse to pay for it!!!
I checked the oil level when it was delivered and it was full. I guess I'll keep an eye on it and speak to service guys on Monday or Tuesday.
