Experimented with a high concentration of octane boost and restored most of my power.

Something kept telling me to try a high percentage of octane boost with Amoco 93, to see how it would affect the ecu backing off on the timing.

My theory was that if the knock sensor, or even the mass air sensor, were malfunctioning it would cause the car to run lean and back off on the timing.

That seemed to be the feeling I was getting as I drove it.

So yesterday I added it to the fuel, and today while driving I have noticed that about 80%+ of my power has returned. I hit the gas once going into third and the tires broke loose unexpectadly!

I am going to swap out the mass air sensor, and if that doesn't fix it, the knock sensor.

But still I am thrilled right now! WWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOO!

Ok, call it cautiously thrilled, but I'm on the right track, it has to be a sensor!!!!!

I hope you find it to be a sensor.

Been too long, dealers, exhaust shop for the cat .... you're gonna have a deprived childhood if you don't find the problem soon
