it's the tube that's bolted to the wall in a porta-potty.



(It's the fuel filler tube. look at the very top of it.. note that round lip on the top? look familiar?)

the small tube on it is the vent tube to let air out of the tank as it's filling up.

gas tank filler tube...common recall on the early models, but why buy a new one when Nissan fixes it for free

Because they only fix it for free in states that the recall is in effect. If you went in with that problem in Oklahoma or Texas and asked to fix it under recall, they'd laugh at you right before they told you get the f*** out.
