when I sell someone 18's thats ussually the set up we go with I've got 235 45's on my 17's. I had the same combo that you want when I had my 18's but the ride was too ruff so I went with the 17's. what brand tires are you getting. I sell SUmitomo, toyo etc...

Won't there be rubbing with 45mm offset, requiring a different selection or spacers? I know of one person (Mr.Rose) who got Konig Subzeros with 45mm and he had considerable rubbing with 235 tires so....

AFAIK, to run 235's you should go with 35 or 30mm offset.

I was under the impression that 225/45/18 was the proper setup.

Check here for a tire size calculator.

So do you guys suggest 17's? I think those are 17x7 somthing like 40mm offset. So i could still run 235?

You will probably rub with 235's and a 45 offset, without spacers anyway.

Things that will help (if you MUST get these rims):

-narrower tires (like maybe 215 width)
-spacers (but adds cost and work if you DIY)
-tires without a "rim protector" which is a layer of rubber that sticks out a bit to protect the rim lip.

i seem to boggled with this same question...my question is, in a recent post, it was said that tha ride was too rough.....what is meant by too rough? A lot of noise, the ride is uncomfortable...etc?
