Gunmetal on 2k2 Grey Lustre Max?

I think I'm gonna go with the 17X7 tantrums (I just bought tires, that's why I'm not going for a wider rim). I loved 'em before I knew how 'trendy' they were so I'm not gonna worry about being original. I definitely like the silver ones but my friend is pushing me to get the gunmetal and I can't decide if I like 'em or not. How do you think the gunmetal would look on a grey max?

Truth is I think any aftermarket rim is bound to look great. What tires did you get, the stocker 225/50-17? You can still put them on a 17xz8. Then the next time you need tires you have the option of getting 235/45-17. You wont be able to if you get a 7" rim I don't think. That 225/50 is a beat size, I think the Tire Rack only has 2 or 3 tires in that size, it's a goofy size. Nissan was probably scared of having a profile lower than 50. Oooohhhh, maybe they were watching Blair Witch when they were doing the tires

But if I were you I'd go for 18x8 otherwise there's really no difference from stock. But at least a 17x8 be a mild upgrade with 235/45-17 being on the horizon.

yeah, I have 225/50/17 Pilot Sport A/S--Can I put those on a 17X8 rim with NO WORRIES?

You might want to ask the Tire Rack to be safe, because it looks like 8" is the widest you can use for the 225/50. Maybe you should try 7.5" because that is also good for the 225/50 AND 235/45.

Pilot Sport specs

How do you like the Michelins? Wish I could have afforded them but they would have been $118 more per tire!

Gun metal would look sweet, but on a 2k2, go with 18s or 19's!!!
that would look real nice.
