Different ECU for Maxima 95???

I went to Hondata to get the GForce ECU installed. It was fine at first but after one run, check engine light came on. We thought that we put in a 5 speed ECU for my automatic so we switched to another one. They only had 2 ECU's and one was for 5-speed and the other A/T. Well, we switched and I went for another run. The light appeared again. We did a diagnostic and it threw out a few codes. We concluded that since Nissan makes so many ECU's, earlier versions of the 95 Max have a different program than the newer 95 Max's. Mine was manufactured in September of 94. Well, I didnt get the ECU and Im gonna go back sometime and they said they could just chip the one I already had and it should work. Some more waiting for me

The street Hondata is on is a long straight flat road. The run with the GForce ECU did make a big difference. With the stock, my MPH at the end off my run was about 70, with the GForce ECU, it was at 80.

'95 Maximas were still OBD-I, the 96 and above are OBD-II, which probably means that you are trying to use a OBD-II computer with a OBD-I car.
