VG and VE tranny...are they the same?

VG and VE tranny...are they the same?

i just had a remanufactured transmisson installed in my car and was wondering if ve and vg have the same transmissions. i looked at my bill and it said they used vg dohc (this car exists?) tranny. should i be worried?

What Jeff said. The VG30DE (DOHC VG) was never used in a front-drive car, so the transmission was never built that would match it. Most likely a VE30DE tranny.

Hey Jeff, You think I could drop a VQ35DE into my '91SE?












Just kidding about the swap, as per the typical 3rd gen owner who amuses him/herself by using such humor.
