Anyway, my friend picked up his new 2003 Mercedes Benz SL500R tonight and wanted to have some fun with it. We decided to go to a nearby road that nobody is usally on.

First Run:

Me: Nitrous on (1000psi), Started in Second, Spray 3200-6200
Him: Traction Control off, Started in Drive

We launch...he has massive rear wheel spin and I take a quick lead. I was ahead through the end of my second gear, but by the time the car shifted and picked up RPM's in third he pulled right by me. He kept pulling and I lost him at around 110mph.

Second Run:

Me: Nitrous on (1000psi), Started in Drive, Spray 3200-6200
Him: Traction Control On, Started in Drive

We launch...he has no wheelspin but no RPMS (When the Benz's sence traction problems the limit RPM's) so I took an early lead. In My second gear he passed me...by the third gear he was gone....that would be around 75-80mph...

Third Run:

Me: Sitting in his car (Max was parked)
Him: Scaring the hell out of me!

Man the car is amazing! So quick and tight...I love it! Is it worth $100,000? No...i'd still take a used Ferrari over it. But, it is real nice. They finally gave the SL the SLK's hardtop, so now its almost a perfect car...

i read all about that car in car and driver.... it is such a nice car ... if you think that that car is faster then you need to get in the SL55 ... wow thats a beautiful car ... but the SL500R is a very nice car as well

 

How do u spray. I am confused. I am not making fun of your setup it just seems really hard to race and reach over there.

 

I am not sure what you mean by reach, but I set the Window Switch to spray...so my pills are 3200 on and 6200 off.

Ohh, you mean reach my controls? Yeah, its not like the movie (you don't hit the button to spray), you spray at WOT and whatever I set the Window Switch to. The switches are to Arm, open and heat the bottle and the putton is to purge.
