I think i ****ed my car up alittle today!

I was racing a truck as i was gettin on the highway, i saw he was coming in my mirror from behind, so i downshifted to 2nd doing around 45-50, i got a ACT Clutch. Anyways right after that i was taking a right turn for a exit, and i hear this noise like tat tat tat tat, like somthing was rotating and hittin somthin. I stoped to make sure a drive axle blew out, but it wasnt apparent. Any ideas before i got to the mechanic???

Wait... You're going 45-50... And you shift into 2nd gear? Then wonder what's wrong?

i know not the same

but in my auto, i know not the same, in second gear i almost redlined at about 50+ mph.... so i cannot see why it would hurt the engine.. but the tranny is very different.... suto more sensitive, so your manual should be good....

Yea im thinking CV joint. Its drivable, but im not of course. Im going to try and have a freind whos a mechanic look at it tommorow. If it is a CV joint or i have to replace the axle, how much is that for the parts?? Thanks
