Here are 3 pics so that you can see thta the beam pattern is focused and has been aimed to show no glare. I have been driving behind cops, in front of cops no problems.

All my lights does not shine above the bumper area of small cars, and I have ridden in my friends car to see it, no glare at all. Just perfect.

first who's stang? it is nice cept i hate convertibles they handle horrible in comparison...

second where was that pic taken... looks like rt6 or 295 but hard to tell.

 

I have both blue and purple bulbs. I like the purple better. If your HID's are aimed correctly you dont get high beamed. I've had them in for almost 3 months now. Nobody flashes me.

 

Hey whats up?! I think I saw you last night at Freddie's, the purple is hot though, especially after I saw them on your max. Did you re-wire your corners cuz I think the Hanabi looks hot with the amber on the second filament. Anyway, I tried using that rubbing compound on the headlight and it isn't doing **it. It feels smoother but it is still dingy and doesn't look nothink like the other side. What the hell? I guess Im gonna have to buy a new headlight assembly.

 

I'm thinking of bringing my car in to the dealer to get the headlights aimed right. I know that I could do it myself which I did before, but it still seem a bit off. I should get my Hanabi Purple HID in next week. People already have "flashed" me and all I got now is hyperwhite bulbs.

There are still plenty of you buying HID conversion kits.

 

Try as much as you can, you will never get a 9004 housing to aim correctly or reduce glare. If you want to scientifically check, I have the equipment, but I've tried so many times, I just gave up on it.

2K-2K1 H4s are so much easier.
any 9006 housing sucks unless its a Projector Housing, which is a whole lot easier to aim.
9007 can get away w/ glare since its comes off the sides and not the top and bottom like a 9004 housing.
H3, depends on the kit you get, but who cares, they're fog lamps.
H7, H1: usually projector housings, so its easy.

that is why we all await greg's projectors so then we can match hid with a REALLY good beam pattern (hopefully!) and we'll be straight.

 

Problem is aftermarket Projectors still look like crap. If you want projectors that are like OE cut offs, then be prepared to spend alot on those.

I tried last year, and the light output or beam pattern SUCKED NADS on PROJECTORS. If Custommaxima doesn't properly have the spacing or reflector surfaces right to accomodate HID lighting(lumens) then there will be more glare than w/ a halogen bulb. A style like 2K2's free form reflector w/ crystal lense would be perfect, but they won't be considered projectors.
BTW I used H7 bulbs + H7 HID System. I gave up after wasting too much time and money on it.

9004 and H3 bulb beam patterns suck because of the tranverse filaments in them. I had an old Camry w/ 9004 and it was aweful, my friend put aftermarket projectors on his Civic w/ H3 bulbs and it was horrible, too. I currently have 9005 Silverstar bulbs modified to fit in the low beam projectors of my Integra, HUGE improvement over stock 9006 (which weren't too bad themselves)! Somebody should make aftermarket projectors that take 9006 or 9005 bulbs, that would be the best.

Holy Amazing Spiderman, where the hell did this come from? Well from reading this thread, I assume I am missing some replie(s)? I do have a few clowns on my ignore list. Could it be the wrestler named, "Albert?" hmm, only this person have so much bs about HIDs and know the lighting technicality from A thru Zeeees!!! Some people just know it all, they just full of it. I have no problems with my lights, I am sure Deezo don't hve problems with his, and my friend who owns an Accord is satisfied with the Hanabis. I am not here to promote HIDs, but I am here to promote my experience with it, and it's been good. So don't talk trash and clown me if you aren't riding
my car, until then, keep your mouth shut fooo!
