What to consider when getting new rims and tires.

Im possibly gettin rims for my car, 18 or 19 inch Milli Miglie Evo5 or evo sport, for my 2001 I30t and my sister is getting some from a local shop for her 2000 Accord, 17 inch. Well this my first time doing something like this so what all do i need to look at and think about when looking and asking around??
thanks

hey Kal...

what shop are you going to? good ones are hard to find here :/

lugs 5 X 114.3

offset is dependent on width. I dont know about 18 and 19, as they tend to get alittle wide, and offset would go from 38-40mm for 17 x 7/7.5, to like 40-45mm for 18s and 19s. Your best bet is to ask others what doesnt rub when you start talking 19 X 8+.

btw, did you see my post about the OBD2 reader I have?

The shop is Wheel World here in jacksonville. They have a HUGE warehouse. Good people to. Im going back monday to see what kinda price he can get the rims for from tire rack. I dont know when i'll get the rims though. I will definately as others bout the rubbing. Sometimes i want 18, and sometimes i want 19.

And i'll check out ur post bout the OBD2 reader.
on a side note, yesterday was some great weather wasnt it.
have a good night

If you've already decided on the rim and don't care about your acceleration all that much, then everything's covered. but if you have only decided on the style of rim you want, make sure you factor in weight.

Lower your car FIRST before going with 18 or 19" especially on a Max or I30
