Encounter with new Tiburon

Kinda... I saw it on the San Bernardino Eastbound. It was all 'disguised' with the cow motiff (white with black) but it looked pretty good (the shape of the car!).

I was gonna play with it but I don't think he woulda taken me up seeing if he crashed it, he'd probably be in some hot water. This car should sell pretty well I'm guessing.

It's sad to say but... It's gonna be one of the better looking cars made nowadays.

Oh yeah, Hyundai is heading for the sweet spot. Why do they put $130+ Michelins on a $12k car when Nissan puts $90 Proxes on a 30k car? Marketing. Those tires cost double what Kia uses, the Kuhmo and Hankook. But they do cheese out in Canada with the Korean tires.

Lift the hood on the Hyundai and you see the dress-up shrouding like the Max on their low-level cars. They're really in touch with styling as well. Do I want one, the answer is no. But could Nissan be a little more in touch with the market? Yes. The 5th gen was a disaster as far as looks go, and if they mess up the 6th gen the model is done.

I see the car everyday over here in South Korea. It's actually called the Hyundai Tuscani and not the Tiburon over here and they are fast; at least compared to my piece of crap Army vehicle. In fact it's sad to say, but there actually the fastest car sold here in Korea.

Amen, if the car is not Daewoo, Hyundai, Kia or Sangyong (a Korean only brand) they don't on it. Most of the people over here hate Japanese car's, but I will admit there are some cars over that I think would sell real well in the USA. I'll try and take some pics of some of the best cars they've got and i'll also include their imitation 4th gen. Maxima, Acura Legend/Vigor, Ford Festiva and Ford Aspire just to name a few.

yeah the Tiburon looks pretty cool. Hyundai's tend to be pretty heavy though (3013 lb - as much as my 4th Gen) so I don't think it'll be all that fast. Hopefully it'll be fast enough to beat all of the ricers - that would be too funny!

It won't be fast at all. They rate the car at 180hp (the GT-V6). Hah what a joke, GRM dynod one and got 138hp to the wheels... Thats more like 160 hp territory... The car is overrated HP-wise and overweight. Its going to be a dog.

Your uncle is smart because right now he is ahead of the curve and he has mucho potential profits coming down the pike.

Back in the 80's it didn't take Albaert Einstein to figure out Mickey D's was profitable. But in upstate NY a franchise cost over $1 million. My poppy didn't have that coin. today, in retrospect, a person should have borrowed the money because I heard you can't even get a franchise today.

Yes you can. It is tough though. They are expensive like you said and also you usually have to buy out an owner that is leaving. So it takes a few dinners and some butt kissing to get them to give it to you and not somone else.

I saw one the other day while filling up up electronic toll thingy. It was black, looked pretty damn good too. I don't know how it drives, but if it drives half as good as it looks it shoud be sweet.
