Cas I just replace the electronic gauge i have with an analog I have sitting around? It should be the same connections right? Unless someone out there is selling one?

No the connections are different. But you can swap them if you feel like splicing wires. You will need the wiring diagram for both instrument clusters. Wire Colors will not always match up.The fuel guage will not be accurate. The fuel level send sends a signal from something like 30-1000omhs to the GXE digital dash. While the analog dashes get a signal from like 1-100omhs. So you will need a SE Fuel level sender. All your your guages might not be 100% correct.
The reason I swapped mine on my gxe is because the dash was completely dead. I wasn't willing to spend $1200 on a new one or $600 for a used one.
If yours is dead take it apart and look at the solder connection behind it. You might find one of the traces burnt.
Good luck.

If your dash is dead, you can have it repaired for about $300. That's what I spent last year and it still works great.

you cant just add the nissan HUD to analog gauges, you need the main unit that drives the HUD and dash
not an easy project either

they do sell some really expensive aftermarket HUDs, but I dont think it's worth it
just hire a friend to yell out your speed every 5 seconds and you'll save your money that way
"88 miles per hour!"

I have the HUD because of the digital dash. I use it occasionally to entertain my son, lol. Not worth the trouble or expense. More distracting if anything. I'll try to get a picture this week and post it......
