What mods do you need to do on a stock 98 maxima to get it to beat a gs300 in a race. either @ the line or a roll? the gs is also stock.

GS dont come stick, 5 spd Max and Gs 300, Max will win unless Max driver sucks at driving, auto vs auto, max ahould win, but will be very close

 

Yes. The older ones are slow as hell. The newer ones are quicker, but still not faster than your average Max.

 

I meant if my friend(maxima) was manual. the GS is a 2001 with E shift to go with the 225 RWHP.

 

E shift doesnt help accel at all. At least it doesnt on my mom's GS400.

More like 220 at the crank. The GS300 is easy prey for a Max, especially a 5 speed Max. Ask me how I know!

2 occaisions. Once in teh city late at night, I tailed this black GS300 for a while. He tried to get away but never could, and it was so easy for me to keep up with him.

Next time, I was minding my own business on the highway, to my right a GS300 jumped on the highway very aggressively, he got 2-3 cars ahead before I gave chase. I caught him and passed him easily, I think he could have worked harder but gave up. I guess he freaked at the way I just reeled him in while he was flooring it all the way

They're really nice luxurious cars, but the NA supra engine is working too hard pushing that heavy body around.

On the other hand, I met a GS400 on the highway once, we were both at 80mph, I goaded him along and he took the bait. And well . . .

haha my pops got a gs300 and he keeps sayin "wanna race?" but i know he's foolin, plus the 5speed max wont be an easy win if a win at all

Now for a GS story...

3 weeks ago at the Newark illegals (100-125 cars) I was with my buddy Ghettomax(now owns a 500rwhp Supra) and we rolled on a GS400 that was one of the nicest cars I have ever seen (19 inch HRE's, twin APEXi mufflers and some stuff) we gave him 5 car lenghts and my buddies Supra smoked him in the first 300 feet it was sweet..OT but Sweet!

 

No, it won't be an easy race, it will be A VERY EASY race, those things are dawgs.... GS4's on the other hand - save them for S/C'ed or 2k2 6sp's

 

The 5 speed Max is will against the older GS300's. I think the autos will run a little faster also (assuming the drivers of both know what they're doing).
