95 max 5SPEED LIMITED SLIP DIFF-WHAT DO I NEED???

My car: 1995 Max SE (5speed)

I need a new tranny and i have found a tranny from an infinti i30 (also manual) with limited slip. To make this new tranny work what do i need to change, do i need to change both the axles, just one, neither???, Is anything else needed.

I too have a 95 SE 5 speed and several years ago I asked several dealerships if I could replace my trans w/ an Infinity one w/ LSD. They told me that the housing are different and won't align/bolt up right. That ended my search quickly. The people I spoke w/ could be mistaken but that's all I know. Good luck. I'd love to have a LSD but can't afford Quaiffe's.

Groupbuycenter.com has them for a little while longer, didnt check the price b/c I probably couldnt one afford anyway. I think I would rather have this anyway since its new.

i have a 95 Max and i put in a VLSD trans. i got it from Nissan directly. Make sure the I30 was an I30t, cause regualr I30 are non LSD trannies. The driver side axle seal will be much larger then the non LSD one so thats one way to verify if your picking it up from a yard. I replaced both axles, but i heard only 1 needs to be replaced
